No wholesale changes for Coyle

Bolton Wanderers manager Owen Coyle insists that he will not be pushing players out of the Reebok Stadium this summer, despite talk of a major squad shake-up.

Coyle helped the Trotters move clear of relegation danger after opting to leave Burnley midway through the season, but he insists that it will be evolution and not revolution at Bolton in the close season.

He told the Bolton News:"I have never said anything about releasing players and it would be wrong of me to do that.

"They signed their contracts in good faith before I came to the club, so I am not going to be the guy who says 'you need to go here or there' – they don't need to go anywhere.

"There will be ones who play more than others and they may feel they will get a better opportunity elsewhere.

"That's up to them, but I am not forcing anyone out of the door. I don't work like that."Subscribe to Football FanCast News Headlines by Email
